We have a particular expertise in estate planning for clients with non-traditional family situations, such as lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgendered individuals and couples. These people do not have many of the legal rights that are available to other family situations and are poorly protected in case of disaster. We can help fill these gaps by drafting wills, financial and medical powers of attorney, and other documents such as living together agreements and other legal contracts.

We do handle breakups of domestic partners, provided no litigation is involved. For these matters, we evaluate the situation with the potential client and determine whether our representation is appropriate.
